Welcome to Hearth & Story’s Fourth Grade Poems & Paintings Course—where words and images meet to spark imagination and wonder.
 
This unique homeschool course brings together 24 carefully chosen classic poems and pairs each one with a famous work of art. Designed especially for fourth grade students, the course invites children (and their parents) to slow down, observe closely, and explore how poetry and painting can speak to each other—and to us.
 
Each lesson features one timeless poem and one beautiful painting, with a gentle guided reflection to help students notice details, connect ideas, and share their own thoughts. As students work through the course, they’ll build not only a deeper appreciation for language and art, but also the ability to think critically, ask questions, and see beauty in new ways.
